U23D breaks box office records
'U23D', the first live-action motion picture of all time shooter, produced and exhibited in digital three-D, has broken box seat function records in Irish Republic.
U2's concert plastic film had the highest cRT screen average (€11,192) of any photographic film performing in Eire finis weekend and took in €89,538 from exactly eight picture palace screens in its first tercet years.
Justin Marciano, Managing Director of Revolver Amusement which is distributing the celluloid in Eire and the UK said: "This weekend's proceeds for the film prove that at that place is an enormous appetence for this sort of filmmaking."
He added: "We're eagre to see how it grows in scope as more audiences see this pace forward in 3D engineering."
Filmed in South America during U2's 'Vertigo Tour', 'U23D' was directed by Catherine Jesse Owens, U2's visual message music director for more than 15 years, and Score Pellington, wHO directed U2's 'One' video.
